Know your Machine: All Buttons, Switches, Where they are & What they Do.

Presser Foot- Keeps the fabric in place while sewing.

Presser Foot Lever- Lifts and Lowers the presser foot.

Power Switch- Turns your machine on and off.

Feed Dogs- Moves the fabric through the machine

Foot Pedal- Moves the machine parts and needle. Is how you can control speed.

Reverse- Pushes the fabric backwards instead of forwards.

Hand Wheel- Moves the machine parts and needle. Always turn toward you.

Thread Hook- Holds the thread in place while sewing. MUST BE threaded for machine to work properly.

Spool Holder- Holds the thread

Spool Cap- Keeps the thread in place

Bobbin Winder- Fills the bobbin with thread

Needle Position- Moves needle to left or right if needed.

Needle- Thread goes through the eye or small hole in the needle.

Needle Screw- Releases the needle so it can be changed out

Presser Foot Release- Releases the Presser Foot so it can be changed

Tension Knob- adjusts the thread tension

Stitch Length Knob- adjusts the length of your stitch size

Stitch Width Knob- adjusts your stitch width. Only used for decorative stitches like Zig-Zag

Decorative Stitch Dial- Changes stitch type. Varies on each machine.
